Long Lasting Yak Dog Chews
Yak dog chews are my favorite way to relax. I can’t help myself sometimes, chewing just makes me feel good. Yak dog chews for aggressive chewers are so much better than other mushy sticks or crispy sticks that are gone in a matter of minutes. Monster Yak Chews from Pawstruck are my favorite. They taste the best, last the longest and don’t break apart when I drop them on the hard floor.
GMom takes the small pieces, puts them in the microwave oven and makes amazing BIG treats that I love to chew on. There’s nothing left for me to choke on, no gross, mushy chews for her to step on in the middle of the night.
When I was a puppy, it made my mouth feel good to chew because it helped make room for my big dog teeth. ( Boy, are they big now! ) But now that teething is not a problem, I still like to chew. I chew when I’m excited; I chew when I’m bored; I just love to chew!
GMom says it’s important for me to have plenty of good things to chew so I don’t chew the wrong things!
Dogs Love to Chew
Chewing is essential to dogs, not just to get through the teething stage. The average dog chews to relieve the pain of teething and later to relieve stress and boredom. It’s also thought that chewing releases endorphins which are nature’s feel good chemicals.
However, not all dog chews are good for dogs. Not all toys are good for dogs. Toys that have small, easily chewed off parts can be very hazardous. Toys that are easily torn or pulled into bare threads can be dangerous if ingested. Bones, real or manmade can end up with knife point, sharp ends that can be life threatening if consumed.
If You Chew It
If your dog chews it, it should also be safe for them to swallow, digest and eliminate. And if your human spends $15 for it they want it to last more than 15 minutes. There is nothing more discouraging than bringing home a new chew toy for your dog only to find he has either ripped it to shreds or swallowed it before you have the other groceries out of the bag.
Monster Himalayan Yak Dog Chew
The Monster Himalayan Yak Dog Chew is the answer to my quest for a long lasting dog chew. Per the wrapping, chew bars are made in Nepal from Yak and cow milk, lime juice and salt. Not only does that sound healthy, it looks and feels so much better than the mushy, slimy remains of old chew’s that I lose interest in as soon as I lick off the artificial flavoring on many of them.
I love chewing on an old tree branch, GMom’s old socks or any cardboard box. But the yak dog chews are the best! No mess, no splinters in my tongue and nothing to meddle with my insides. One bar lasts for days and you won’t find pieces of a yak bar in the grass on ‘poop the yard’ day.
No mess, no smell, just a happy dog!
